Below are the steps to get the Work Permit for your maid.

1. Application
   You have to submit the application to the MOM with all the necessary documents on behalf of your maid.
2. Processing & Approval
   The MOM takes around 7 days for the processing of an application. You’ll be notified if the Work Permit is accepted or rejected.
3. Appeal
   If the Work Permit application is rejected, you can go for an Appeal. It can take around 14 days for your appeal to be accepted and verified for the approval of the Work Permit.

The SIP for first-time domestic workers starts within 3 days of the completion of Stay Home Notice(SHN) excluding Sunday and Public holidays. This is a one-day programme for inexperienced maids, only after which you will be able to start working for your employer.
